Since we have a chat room in this community why not think about having a one evening a week chat in there. Pick a night and let everyone know and we can all chat with each other. Something to think about

How about Hump day? The middle of the week is always good, compared to a Thursday or Friday, when us Baby Boomers out are out shopping for groceries or catching up on CSI and other gooder shows that come out that night as well as TGIF. What about Monday night, too? Just a thought.....9 p.m. Ontario time would catch me in Alberta at 7 pm, and those BCites at 6 pm.

Nice to see the Oilers still alive and kicking out west. Too bad the CBC is doing their best to ruin the playoffs by having Harry "Captain Obvious" Neale and Bob "If Its Not A Leaf I Dont Know Who That Is" Cole covering the games. Nice play by play...
Bob: And the center for the Oilers wins the face off and dumps it in the white teams zone. Harry: Boy Bob, if the Oilers keep dumping the puck in like that they have a better chance of keeping ther puck out of their own end.

I agree, they are the worst two things about watching Hockey. Harry Neale should be put out to pasture. He is annoying and cant even pronouce names right. And never mind the fact that he cant even read the score board. I suggest we have some alumni call the games. After all we did have some pretty good sports teams and players. Atleast some of us can still read.

Hump day is always good for chatting - not like Thursday or Friday when there's usually a game on, or we're out getting groceries. Elaine - I was at game four in Edmonton when they played the Sharks...and came back after being down 2-0 to win. Yes, it was noisey. And the crowds coming and going from the arena...madhouse. The guys around me must have each polished off eight to 12 beers...I brought home Oilers beer glasses which I'll post to my sister in Trenton (Teresa). They have the Oilers logo on....playoff fever is here, but Whyte Avenue is one scary place after the Oilers win. Just look at when they bumped out the Ducks...fires, arrests, fighting...and the odd Edmonton girl flashing boobs or a nipple. It was wild on the Red Mile two post-seasons ago with Calgary facing Tampa Bay, but Cowtown folks did not go crazy like Edmontonians are doing (all fueled by booze). I think it will be the Oilers and Carolina in the final after Thursday's game seven. If it's Buffalo, with all the injuries, Edmonton should skate away with the cup.

Get your Cup hats on we are going to the finals. It so nice to see a Canadian team in the finals. Its time the cup came back home. Jules, I hope you have tickets to atleast one of the games in Edmonton, so you can write us a nice article about the great fans in Edmonton. GO OILERS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a game Monday night. So sad to see Roli the goalie hurt and thus gone for the rest of the series but I still beleive the boys can win it anyway. Not having Roli will just give them alot more to strive to win for.
