Sister Teresa was meant to work with kids...she started the first ever daycare centre in Canada as a child, bringing all the neighbour's kids to our house...: too funny. And she has four kids of her own, well three, but a wife can always count their hubbie as a child, too. And resting and relaxing on Vancouver Island - crab cakes and tiger prawns for supper last night. And small world....beside Morgan used to live a BSS alumni, Tim Gentles. He's since moved to another location in Nanamio, but at one point there were three BSS alumni on Metral Drive - Jane, Morgan and Tim. Now Jane is moving out her recently sold abode of 14 years, in with her b/f and son Ricky. Will only be one BSSer here, plus me when I visit. Off to explore Nanaimo with Morgan.

Theresa;
I absolutely agree with you, and I know where your passion comes from...your heart.
It is great to read when someone has that "special" love that it takes, and the compassion for children.
Not to say that all of us do not have it, nor am I trying to belittle anyone who feels they have that same passion, yet to use it in everyday life, that is not only a treat, but something special.
As the former Executive Director of an "International Charity" (we assisted in raising awareness, supplies and donations for the education of the children of the Dominican Republic through "The DREAM Project", and mentally challenged children of the Dominican Republic through "The Mustard Seed Community") I know the passion that it requires, the mental "toughness", and most of all, the heart.
Cheers to you, and all those who work, and volunteer to assist the future of our country, other countries, and the future of mankind itself!
Cheers Jimmy

Thanks Jimmy:
You are so right when you speak about the passion and I know it is in all of us somewhere and for something=it is just a case of finding it.
It is absolutely wonderful to hear heartwarming stories of individual/group commitments to help others. Congratulations to you and the others who workworked for the International Charity to help educate young children. That is fantastic.
I think as individuals we all find some way to contribute to our communities, countries, the world and every little bit helps.
Teresa

Well done Scoobster..... I could use a guy like you in my house. I have to remove a door, reposition a window, restud an entire wall then drywall the whole thing..... all in the kitchen, before I can lay the new 3/4 inch hardwood maple floor. Looks like you do good work ( think you should get karma for that ! cheers Lance Hey Lance; If you need advice, or assistance, I can allow you the "BSS Alumni" special! Just contact me, and I would be glad to assist! Cheers Jimmy
