I just now saw your message 2 years later. I completely forgot about my question.
It was quite a shock to find out about Mike and you're right....he was a great guy. I feel so sorry for his wife and newborn (at the time) who lost someone so nice. Thanks so much for answering my question...but I almost wish I didn't know. I like to think all I knew are alive and well and living their best life.
Thanks again,
Tammy

I had only just got in touch with him after quite a few years just before it happened . I had got a hold of Ron Fry in Calgary and he filled me in on all the old gang so I had to call Mike right away forgetting that there was a 3 hour time difference from BC to Ont . So I woke him up and we ended up talking for a couple of hours about the old times . He had just gotten married and they were expecting their first child . I got off the phone telling my wife that I had to go to Ont to visit with him as it was like no time had gone by at all since we had last seen each other . That Christmas I phoned him to chat and found out about the accident . Really sad as he was a great guy and we used to have a lot of fun back in the day . I went to Calgary after school in 77 from out here in BC and Mike , Don Boucher and I lived in a small apartment in Southwest Calgary . Randy Brown and Deb Horne crashed there with us for awhile as well and there was usually lots of people over partying and having a good time . I came back to BC after 4 months as I missed the warm weather and my girlfriend ( who has been my wife for 27 yrs ) . I think Mike went back to Ont not long after that as well as he was not out there the next summer I went out to see Randy and the gang . I talk to Ron Fry on the phone every once in awhile but have lost touch with most of the old gang over the years . You must have gone out with Mike after I moved to BC in Oct of 76 . Not sure if we would have met before that or not . This is a great site i check in quite often to see if there are any old names I recognize . Hopefully some more of the yearbooks get posted here so we can all check them out . I have one around here somewhere I should take it work and scan it and send it along .
