Exactly--> for every negative thought, put a positive spin on it to keep yourself from going down.

Yeah as long as they think I am cool and they see happiness maybe they will be able to find it in their lives. They have grown too fast but have found ways to surprise me and that lets me know I am doing good.Like I have said since 1980 "if it doesnt kill you it makes you stronger"

Yes...
Buried secrets are not actually "buried" if you think about them from time to time.
I would be the first to admit that I have thought about some of the girls that I used to like in school, and wondered just where they are, and how they are doing.
It is weird to think that it has been this many years.
I was never one in school to tell anyone just how I felt, as I felt that I didn't really fit in anywhere, actually, I didn't wish to fit in either, yet there were a handful of ladies that I found to be very nice (by talking to, or just knowing who they were).
Funny how things change, as now I would be the first one right into anything, playing the clown, joining the organization, or just helping someone out.
I think, in fact I know, that I have become the person I wished that I could be, all the way from a father, to a friend.
Still, with that being said, I certainly would like to meet a few of these people now, just to say hello, and see what has transpired in their lives.
I did have the opportunity to meet one lady that I used to think was "hot" (no crush, just a teen lust thing). I was actually renovating her basement, and she did not know who I was, and I left it at that.
Totally not the person that I thought that she would be, in fact, far from it.
I was actually quite surprised as she used to be one of the "elite" type girls in school (her personality was much better now though).
Cheers Jimmy
PS
So...penneme and Wanda...any hints?

Well Scoobie...I think of all those "ingirls" back in highschool(I wasnt one of them)and tell myself a simple rule.. we all get old...we all get wrinkly and we all get saggy at some point in our lives...no one escapes mother nature for long. So to all those people who thought they were IT in highschool,, I say you might have looks back then but some pople really want someone who has personality, a sense of humour and isnt afraid to be themselves. As for buried secrets, I agree they arent buried if they constantly come to mind. We all grow up at some point in our lives and move on and those friendships and crushes we had as teenagers dont seem so important. I know that once you lose a close friendship its hard to recover it, and what you might have accepted from someone all those years ago, may not be what you will accept now. Just my take on things!!!!!!

Oh Elaine, you hit that nail in the right spot ;D
And since Jimmy isn't going to stop until he gets answers!LOL!
I don't think mine are really secrets per say............
I think in my situation b/c I didn't go to prom(went to the ceremony though) I didn't get to say bye to anyone like I should have. I was in the military already and I had my posting and I was moving on with my life...I think I should have stepped back a bit, went to prom and said my goodbyes, got addresses to keep in touch, that kind of stuff.
there are people that I have just often thought about through the years that I wondered how they were doing and what happened to them.
Ok does that answer your question? ;D

You guys are making me mad here...no one is willing to name names! This is my first look at this site and I swear I am going to the basement, get my yearbook...and start typing out names of people I had crushes on...we need some excitement in our old age people!
I was thrilled to see my name mentioned in this category and I think some of you need the same thrill. I am not too chicken to fess up to my crushes.....(LOL)

O.K. Here goes....I am not too scared to name names....and YES CAROL please e-mail me at hulagirl@sympatico.ca I really need to talk to you......it's been too long......and for any boys seeing their names on this silly list I am about to make... I am a happily married woman so don't be getting any ideas! (HA HA)
I've just gone through the 1978 yearbook....that would have been the start of my Grade 9 year. I started in January and within the week I was forced to spend the night at the school because of the snowstorm. That was so much fun......
I had lots of friends from the airforce base who attended Bayside and there were a bunch of us who had lockers in the hall near the gym. This list represents boys who a bunch of us airforce base girls swooned over in Grades 9 and 10. Not all these guys were on my list......but these are generally the guys we thought were "hot" when we first started Bayside. Apologies to those not on the list.........if you were not in the 1978 yearbook you didn't make the list because I am too old to remember you!
In no particular order........
Stephen Alexander Derek Andrews Timothy Evans Tim Goller Shawn Norman Steve Canning Howard Dell (Much hotter these days...love seeing him on the Y&R and W network) Glen Filazek Greg Turcotte Jamie Bird (I asked him to the Sadie Hawkins Dance and he said yes!) Frank Shoniker (I had a very exciting and torrid kiss with him in the stairwell once...just once though) Doug McKenzie Sheldon Arsenault Gary Buffett Mark Scarf Mark Liggins (Once we became buddies the attraction went away....very strange..but still a hottie) Steve DeCoste Derek Andrew Bob Fearon Dave Gaudet Mike Hopkins Kevin Shogren Russ Haynes Gary McInroy Larry Arsenault Clinton Dell
I will now go through the 1979 book and make another list!
That was fun!
