These I know and will take pics of next week: Trenton- Sherwood Forest Inn (still there) - Copperfield's (now Rednecks Bar) - The Royal - gone new building there - Queensway Hotel (across from Copperfield's - still there) - where Dutch Mill used to be - MacDonald's - Dairy Queen Belleville- where Dolan's was - BCIVS School - gone - now a field If there are other places please list them below and I will do my best to get pictures of them as they are now. I have asked if it is OK to post pics from our year books - mainly the staff. I am still waiting to hear back. Cheers, SJ

The latest changes to Trenton are that the Royal has just been tore down and pretty much the whole south side of Dundas between the lights at the beer store and the top of the hill before heading downtown was torn down last week. Not sure what they plan on putting up. Sure looks bare though.

The old Dutch....beer, then a trip to McDonalds for carbonated water. A Larry Arsenauult trick to avoid a hangover the next day. Hamburgers cost 33 cents I believe. Got a lot for a dollar when it was paper money. A lot of BSS alumni worked at that fast food restaurant. And K-Mart , too.
The old barn is falling apart to the east of the high school. It used to be functional when I was attending BSS. I think there was horse riding lessons.

The old barn next door to Bayside(on the east side) was at one time a riding stable that did offer lessons. My friend Nancy Northrup, also a Bayside alumni, lived in the house right next door to the barn. It is also run down now and empty. The old Dutch was one place in town that being a minor(lol) you could sneak into. It is now replaced with a Canadian Tire and a Independant grocery store. Times have changed, you cant get anything for a dollar anymore, unless its at a dollar store, which I might add the Quinte area have a few of them.

OH YES, THINGS HAVE CHANGED IN TRENTON. THE PROPERTY KIDDIE CORNER TO THE BEER STORE THAT WAS TORN DOWN TWO WEEKS AGO LOOKS ABSOLUTELY BARE, BUT I HEAR A BIG PHARMA PLUS/MEDICAL CLINIC WILL BE PUT THERE SOON.

Are you telling me the old Dominion grocery store where Matt Kurkoski (his dad taught math and he later married my sister Jane) worked at is torn down now (across the road from the BEER store)?
When did this happen? That's a big piece of property.
That stretch of the Deuce (Hwy 2) sure has been transformed with demolition, then rebuilding? What's planned on the site? Another Tango Hotel (Timmy's) for the double-double crowd? Trenton sure has a lot of Tim Horton's now.
Trivia...where was Tim Horton born and played his first hockey? Cochrane, up in northern Ontario of course.

NO, NO Jules the other side of the street across from the gas station...same side as the old Dominion but opposite the parking lot. All the buildings were torn down to make way for a new plaza of some type. I understand they are closing the Tim Hortons down town too.... can't keep up with the single mom's and babies at 11:oo pm or the garbage or the other various rif raf that hangs out there. They even tried playing classical music over the loud speaker to deter the kids etc. picture that!!

Do you remember the house in the old Dominion store parking lot? That house was owned by my aunt before they tore it down..many moons ago.

The old barn beside the school is gone... fell down some time ago and the house next to it has been abandoned for some time as well. The house can barely be seen for the trees and undergrowth that surrounds it. I remember the name Nancy Northrup....I must look up the face in the year book to refresh. cheers Lance
