Was that store called, 'Joanna's'? For some silly reason that name keeps popping into my head. Or was 'Joanna's' a store in one of the trailer parks in Bayside? It was so long ago.

As a Glen Miller resident, past and current, I can tell you that The Big Boulder Camp Ground is still there,,,as well as Ferguson's Collision is still in business. As for the Big Rock itself,,who didnt party there at least once? Now, there is a parking lot, and nice walking trails to get to it. The Heissler's of Wooler bought the land and fixed it all up. Great people,,friends of my folks.

hi annette i was a Glen miller resident in the late 70's and all the bss students went to big boulder camp ground to party on the weekend and of course the week days to ( lol) and then we would go over to vicki's and Finnish the party.it is good to hear that the camp grounds and Ferguson's is still there. i have not been back that way in a long time so it is good to hear that things have not change that much.if you talk to vicki tell her that it is good to know that she is doing well i just wish that more people would come on line to see how all are doing is. Glen miller getting any bigger?does the school bus still being kids to bss?and is bata shoes still going?by the way what is the name of the street went you come over the tent river bridge from the Frankfurt side you come into glen miller and you are at a stop sign do not turn go straight thought and go to the end of the road we lived at the end of the road right by the 401 hwy well you take care and thank for the info hope to talk soon bye

Was that store called, 'Joanna's'? For some silly reason that name keeps popping into my head. Or was 'Joanna's' a store in one of the trailer parks in Bayside? It was so long ago. The store was Joanna's. It was owned and operated by Joe and Anna Semaine. So many of my teen memories were formed there. Joe is gone now and, last I heard, Anna is living in a seniors home in Bellevile. Regards, Mike H

Brian's endless lunches- Yeah I always wondered if he had a tape worm or something!LOL!
The game with the quarter-wasn't it hockey? Is that the one where two fingers went at the end of the table and the quarter was flipped?
Forgot about that one.

I wouldn't know what that game was... apparently I was too busy eating! Hey you know how skinny I was, I had to keep my calorie count up! When Mr. Lietaer took the basketball team to tournaments he often told Ray Dassylva, Howie Dell and I that we were going to end up fat because we ate so much. There were often card games going on in the cafe... anyone remember playing pass the ace?
