I still can't believe Mr.Baxter...funny I can't think of him as Cam...too much respect for him as a teacher and person but I have seen enough in Toronto to think there is more to the story... Mr Mallory was very quiet very good teacher...he was with us I want to say from 72 - 73 on...If not when we move in to bayside then shortly after.... John Fulton

I was very sad to hear about Paul Dassylva passing away so suddenly a couple of weeks ago. He played soccer at Bayside with my brother Jules and years later was one of my coaches when I played in the local ladies league. I ran into him just last spring when my oldest daughter and his youngest played soccer against each other on their high school teams. He was such a great, fun guy. Teresa Xavier

I remember the day after Mr. Baxter died. I was in Math class with Mr. Pordum when they made the terrible announcement; everyone was so shocked...such a terrible thing.

It sure was a terrible thing when Mr Baxter died. I had so much fun on many long distance runs with him-he kept us talking so as not to notice we were getting winded/fatigued. We always looked forward to the winter runs when he wore that strip of denim around his head. He always said if we kept our heads warm, the rest of our bodies would be fine.

I remember that..... Did he also always say that your legs can be cold but your chest and head have to be warm?
I think he did but I am not sure.

LIZ SWEETNAM AND I RAN THAT WHITES ROAD LOOP ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK WITH EITHER "J.C." AS WE CALLED MR CHAPMAN OR MR BAXTER!!!

I recall an english teacher @ Bayside name of Pat Kastner who died of cancer, not sure of the year but it was late 70's early 80's. She left Bayside in the mid 70's and taught in the Halton Peel Board for a number of years.

Great to see Terry Boyd, the old gym teacher, on here as a guest. Would like to see more of the teachers offering insight to our character from their perspective. Get their thoughts on here, further rekindling memories.
