And it's blackberry season on Vancouver Island right now. Picked two huge pales for sister Morgan in Nanaimo. She made four pies (not sampled by me yet) and froze the rest for making jam later. I'll get her recipe for the BSS alumni shortly. And post some good Guyanese recipes from my dad's family. Like hot & spicey? How about others sharing their recipes from the home kitchen?

From what I read, blueberries are taking over the cranberry craze. Banana blueberry smoothies sound really good......

Here's an interesting way of meeting the opposite sex over food in a restaurant setting. Sister Jane in Nanaimo, where this program operates, met her current b/f three years ago doing this - also offered in Parksville.
