The heat can be something difficult to deal with, to say the least Wanda, but on the other hand, I think that it is a little easier to stay cool, than to deal with the wretched temperatures in the winter.
Its great to be able to use the outdoors, on days that are comfortable, and yet, even those really hot ones, like yesterday, can also be okay, if you can find a place to keep out of the sun for most of the time.
The girls use the pool from morning till night on days like today, and we go through a lot of sunscreen as well (which is mandatory, as much as they hate waiting after they have it applied).
Work - now thats something totally different.
I cannot handle the heat when it comes to some of the jobs that we are doing, as the people do not have any type of air conditioning, or they do not use it, and to be quite honest, we have had to "post pone" some of the jobs due to the heat, as it would take us twice as long to finish, if we could.
Okay, there you have my sudden rant for a Sunday morning.
Cheers Jimmy

What? They won't use it b/c you are there or b/c the air goes outside?
OK on a different note-
As I am reading the news and watching all of the fighting going on I am wondering what is going to happen. You see we have another 2000 + fresh troops going over there to fight the fight and I am wondering and bracing for what is to come. My work is among the black hatters -for you that don't know who they are, they are the tank drivers- and they are getting ready to go overseas. Come Aug4-14 the place is going to be empty and job wise it's good for me but you can bet I will watching the news.......

What? They won't use it b/c you are there or b/c the air goes outside? Usually Wanda, it is due to the fact that we are working in the house, and the customer feels that it would spread the dust and debris throughout the home. The funny thing is, in almost 100% of the situations, we have the "cold air return" either sealed, or covered with drywall (as we always cut them out after we have completed) so that we do not cause this problem. It can get really warm working in a basement with small windows, and no air circulation! Cheers Jimmy

I cannot get that Quinte out of the brain-It's stiill Trenton to me. Is Belleville in the Quinte zone too Jimmy? Or is that Trenton........ Actually Quinte West runs from the edge of Brighton to Loyalist Road, and from just shy of Stirling to Carrying Place. Belleville is not included, yet they were supposed to follow suit with Trenton (and surrounding area's when they amalgamated) to be named Quinte East. Didn't catch on I guess! It is, and always will be Trenton to almost everyone around here, yet after having been involved with an "International Charity", the "Quinte West" location stuck for me, as it is on maps. Cheers Jimmy

That was such a good idea I called the Prime Minister's Office and asked for Mr. Harper... he wasn't available though... apparently he was busy putting a sweater on because the A/C in his office was too cold. My personal opinion... I pregnant dog about the cold all winter so I refuse to make a negative comment about the heat!

ohhhhhhhhh you guys have no idea what has happened down here in the last 24 hours First of all I am here and reading around the site and the news and the power starts surging... I look outside and no word of a lie, all hell is loose out there. I go outside and move things around the yard, hubby is looking around the house to see if everything is ok and the wind is going so far with the rain that you can barely stand up I stand outside for a second and all I can hear are trees breaking , stuff snapping and .just an eerie eerie sound.. So the lightening is just too close and the rain and wind keep coming. Sure reminded me of a tornado that I was close to back in 85. So the power was still off this morning, we got it back a few hours ago around 2pm. Now they are saying it might have been a tornado but when you look around it's a mess. Could have been alot worse but all you can see are trees down and over hydro polls or stuff laying around the roads. And when I say trees down I mean the roots, the grass around it and ...just a mess!!!!!!!! Around the base, there are even roofs gone off some of the older buildings so there is alot of damage. We never got any ourselves but I know others who are at our door asking for our chainsaw. Just sharing ;D

The thing with that, is kids are funny and if they see you unhappy then they will start taking the "parental role" The ages yours are, I don't think you want that.
