Good Morning Darrell!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
See I was the total opposite-I grew up with nothing but country music in my house. To this day it is still there since dad plays around the area in the Old Time Fiddler's group...... So now I like to listen to everything.
You have anything other songs in your head you would like to share?

Hello Wanda, Hmmmmm there have been so many that touch me the last couple of years. You might like Diamond Rio-Only GOD cries fro the living--- john corbett-good to go---- Gord Bamford-I would for you---- Lee Ann Womack-Soemthing worht leaving behind----Sons of the Desert--whatever comes first--- Emerson drive- He was a good man--- Jake Owen-Yee Haw
Some of the songs i have come across in the last few months. So many now touch me deeper than they once did and I am thinking of writing some of my own since these are all emotion filled songs about times in our lives,I write poetry and love writing letters as opposed to typing and have found that writing helps me get rid of bottled up emotions.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.. Darrell

Elain my friend.... I'm not a computer person per say but I can remember when the soft wear was a term used to refer to the more feminine side of the opposite gender, most often used around the cheer leading squad, and I won't even discuss how that affected the floppy disk and the hard drive. lolol cheers Lance

k guys I need some tech help. My daughter brought me home a new scanner, I hooked it up and went and downloaded the drivers off the manufacturers site and when I went to load new hardware it wont recognize the scanner and the manufacturer isnt or wont come up on the list. How can I get this thing to load. She doesnt have the software for it but I did get the drivers off the site. Thanks guys PS..... the message I get when I look in the file I saved the drivers too is .."doesn't not contain information about the driver" See if the manufacuters site has instructions for installing that scanner... some newer hardware is a little funky in that it requires some software to be installed BEFORE the hardware is plugged into the computer. Also check that the driver you have downloaded support the exact model of scanner you have. Did the file you download come as an .exe or .zip? If so they will need to be extracted before they are usable. If you have already solved this problem... move along.. nothing to see here

School starts in my town in exactly 13 days and my little girl is so excited, but alas my son does not have this same attitude. Guess cause he is in high school and in his last year or just his personal take on school I have been rather busy with my business lately and have not felt much like posting but it seems there are lots of people who are like me. Guess when winter sets in this board will be busy again or at least I hope so. Take care

My daughter has to go back for one lousy credit and she is not impressed with going back to school. My middle son is going back in Sept to get his grade 12 after dropping out at 17. He is 19 now and realizes without a diploma he will go nowhere. I used to sing a song to the kids when they were leaving on the first day of school... " The kids are leaving today today, the kids are leaving hoorah horrah"..drove them nuts lol. First day of school is Christmas for parents who have had kids home all summer.

I so remember doing just that Elaine but cannot rememberthe year 78 or 79. At that time the school and me did not see eye to eye and I had to sign a contract stating I would only be on the grounds during those time. Yep I was a bad apple in their eyes. my youngest asks every day when school starts and my oldest will be graduating. Yup christmas is coming HURRAY HURRAY

Who here is from BC? Darrell, Jules, I know there are more..........
How are the forest fires affecting you out there?

No fires up this way Wanda too wet this time of year. Over the years we have less rain and snowfall it seems so maybe one of these years we too will face those events. Terrifying things especially up close and my heart goes out to those whose lives are changed by such a loss.

That's good Darrell. I just saw it was around the Kamloops area on both sides of the border....... So what is newsworthy in everyone's hometown lately? As you can imagine around here, it's all about the military and funerals.........alot of long faces around here I noticed lately. the base is somewhat empty with alot of them away and more getting ready to go. Gas is at 90 cents but why do I go for a drive to Ottawa and it's 86? I cannot figure how they come up with any of that. Kids are finished their first week of school. Darrell is your daughter still excited as she was? the big question here is what job Elaine finally took on!LOL!
