Those yearbook pictures were killers. It would be funny to see some imagines from today compared to then. I bet none of us look the same.

ahh but some of us do look the same, a little older but still the same. I have seen a few people who have changed but you can still see the person you remember in them and I have seen a few people who looked like they jumped out of the year book! who haven't changed a bit.... I have been told I look the same as I did in high school but more mature?? people I meet recognize me and say I haven't changed. LOLOL I looked at some of the photos of myself from the year book and laughed, I was thin and really could have used a different hair style . This all should have been in the " Times sure have changed" section. cheers Lance

Lance, I did get a year book for every year 78-79-81. There was no year book in 80 for some reason. I find myself looking at it to see who everyone is who comes on this site. Makes for some interesting conversations with my kids! They laugh at how we looked! Little do they know that in 20 years time their kids will be laughing at their pictures! I try to put faces to the names to make the picture and memories more clear..... you remember how people looked when you saw them in the hall or class of cafeteria but when you see them in a year book photo it becomes more real ( for me anyway) I wish now I had gotten a year book for every year I was there. ohh well cheers Lance

I've got all my yearbooks, plus books from the early years...boxes of leftovers collecting dust in the yearbook room....I helped myself in order to make mine a set. And I got a few after that in the years following when I still had sisters there. Now my collection has grown because I'd contribute newspaper photos to the yearbooks where I was working...Timmins and Wetaskiwin specifically, and the schools would give me a free copy when the books came out for a thank-you. I'm even on the front page as you open the book, with my mug prominent, saying thanks to the paper and myself for the photos taken the previous year. It's easier here, with Timmins have four high schools when I was there, and Wetaskiwin just the one. Yearbooks are great for reflecting on your past....the pixs of people are important as you can put a name to a face.
