that would be annoying after having a different experience in highschool. I remember seeing "older" students in my english class but we didn't bug them like that. ITA about the no respect part.

Wanda - too funny. Yes, age is but a number. I don't think of myself acting a certain way just because I'm less than three years away from being 5-0. I won't call myself a senior, which you can do at 55. In fact, I can get a $10 membership to the Wetaskiwin Senior's Centre and play floor curling, cards, Scrabble....not what I call active lifestyles, but the current seniors there in their 60s and 70s...or older, are from that generation where you get old and act a certain way....that being "old". I'd not last in a seniors' home that's for sure. And the senior's centre wonder why the membership is going down....duh! The old members are dying, and getting their name up on a giant plaque. And there's no younger "seniors" signing up. Us later baby boomers are not ones to sit and "grow old". More active, right!? Lance....I don't see any resemblance to my JRT Tassja....she's got more hair and eyes filled with expression. She's got more attitude than I. What about your doggie? Morgan has five dogs. Yes, the weather has been great here. Some light rain overnight, but the sun is coming out and it's now humid. Lots of beachcombing on Saturday while watching the dragon boat races here in Nanaimo. Saw the graves of my grandparents and great-grandparents in the Nanaimo Pioneer Cemetery. Had oysters for lunch down in the harbour...no hailbut as the fresh catch had yet to arrive from the fishing trawler. Had crab cakes, too. Yummy! Will send off some pixs to the webmistress to post from the Vancouver Island visit. Off to check out some antique places down island. jsx

HaHaHa Jules I must be one of those oldies cause I'm still laughing at that last piece you posted.... I find myself talking to younger people in the gym or at work and they bestow upon me the woes of today, how hard their lives are. I must have three heads because they look at me perplexed when I tell them they have no idea what hard work is or how they "have it made today" Ask them to add two numbers with more than three figures in it and they ask for a calculator, when you don't provide a calculator they hurry to ask for one from someone else or see if they can do the math on the cell phone hangin off the hip pocket like standard jewelry (a must have) instead of figuring the problem out with the piece of paper and pencil I hold in my hand. Just for kicks I tell them I don't own a computer or cell phone, to which, the response is generally " YOU MUST BE KIDDING, HOW DO YOU SURVIVE?" lolol Sooooo alas I admit I am up there in years (47) but still thinking young, looking back as some of us do wondering where the time went and what would we do if we had the chance to go back for a week ( knowing what we know now) would we? In a FRIKIN HEARTBEAT !!! oops did I say that out loud? ;D Cheers Lance

Letter writing? LMAO!! I find that hard to do without a computer. ;D

My kids find it hard to believe that we only had one TV in our house which meant watching what the parents wanted to. Although they now believe me that when I was in grade 7 I really did have to walk up hill both ways in minus 30 degree weather. We moved to Cold Lake last year and from the PMQ's to the school we had to walk down a hill, across the creek (sometimes without the aid of a real bridge) and then back up the hill on the other side. My kids like to ask me what music I listened to growing up and again I tell them "whatever my parents listened to - we only had one radio and record player" They find it hard to believe since they each have their own TV and MP3 player.
