Hey Wanda. glad to see that there is someone else out there that refuses to buy "Licensed" clothes. We set a limit on how much we will spend per item and if they want anything over that they pay the difference from their own pocket!

We do the same thing but "Santa" seems to let go sometimes and splurges. That is the big joke around here, mom won't buy it but Santa might ;D It's not fun now though, since they know better.........

Remember before the advent of cable tv, when we all had those huge antenna;s on our homes and still only got 2 or 3 channels? Now take a look around and all you see is Satellite dishes. We dint spend much time in the summer watching TV, but come winter I think all Tv's must have been tuned to CBC for Hockey Night in Canada.

Yeah hockey night in Canada, as I remember we were always angry that the west coast got 2 games and we got the news.well now I am where that action is and having kids that watch with you is cool. I so remember rabbit ears, who else made the pic dark and just listened to the game when bad weather gave a snowy picture but the sound was good. To give away my age and tease others about theirs I will ask whether anyone remembers the first store going to Belleville-when we first went there it was a wrightway, that changed but I cannot remember to what.Just curious. Personally I am impressed with the fact I made it this far and still look good for a Grandpa.LOL

Going in to Belleville on highway 2....was the first mall....really only 2 stores...Food City and Riteway..there was an enclosed common area between the 2 about 25ft wide...
That was when hiway 2 was 2 lanes and there was huge trees on both sides overhanging the highway....that was a long time ago Dar...you are dating both of us...lol

Yeah I guess I have given out our secret-we got older LOL I remember the doubling of the highway and how we waited for it to be finished so we could ride our bikes over new pavement. I remember the Riteway sign after you reminded me how it was spelled-thanks-I fed myself for 3 days by stealing form there when I ran away from home at 13 cause I wanted long hair like everybody else.

I remember Towers and Food City. Now that little mall is Stream(where I start work on Monday). It sat vacant for a number of years after Zellers moved to Bell Boulvard.
