Oh Elaine, We are so proud ;D Kill those rude people with kindness...that usually does the trick!!!!!!!!!LOL!
And I have to say that I just got back from driving around Belleville and the place is huge!!!!!! The area around the Quinte mall is no longer woods...........big box stores with Home Depot and Montanas, staples and everything else you can think of. I didn't stay too long, kids were anxious to get back home so went and had supper with Mom and dad(JIMs Pizza is still the best!LOL!) and then left to go back home.
I did notice t hough that just after the CAA store going on there was a brand new Catholic School ready to open.......does anyone have any info on that?

The school you are referring to just north of CAA is not a new Catholic School. It is a Christian School. The old one is located downtown Belleville. I believe the principal was, and may still be, Peter Van Huizen, who once taught History at Bayside - when it first opened.
I was a charter student there and experienced Grade 9 - 2 1/2 days a week at Trenton High.

Thanks Rhonda, I was wondering if it was an old one just relocating or a brand new one. You never know nowadays.
And I love how they built that road on Wallbridge Loyalist just before the overpass(by the police station), cuts off alot of stuff to get right to the heart of the Quinte Mall district. I can see that area filling up like an industrial park pretty soon.
Things are changing so fast around there but I guess it's like anywhere.

Okay job update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HATE IT. My first day on the floor I had 82 calls and 50 of those were screamers and nasty people. I was called a F$$$ing criminal, a F&&&ing terrorist because Dell Fiancial had charged him too much interest. OMG Im not even connected with Dell Financial. I had one caller who had a faud hold put on his order and he was irate because I wouldnt tell him why it was on hold. We are not allowed to tell them its fraud. I came home and felt like vomitting. I actually called and quit Monday nite. I have had to deal with nasty people at Timmies, but have never been sworn at, insulted or threatened. One guy told me he would find me and shove a the printer up my A$$. So they called me Tuesday and asked me to come back.. We were told we would have managers walking the floor with us in Streamline(the area where they sit us newbies together), well the managers were there for 1 hour and even then you had to wait over 15 minutes to get help. So I went back thursday and it wa s okay i had nice callers and my handle time per call was 6.41 lower than what they wanted. But come Friday, it was back to the screamers and swearers. The manager have now imformed us they will not help us on the floor and we are to call a Mentor line for help. Well we called and waited over a half a hour on hold. Not a nice place to work for sure. Its now sunday and i am dreading Monday morning back to work as Im sure all those people who couldnt get ahold of someone on Sat and Sun will be wound up tighter than string and ready to let loose on whoever answers the phone, namely me. I have a job interview this afternoon at Quizinos for a assistant manager and if she offers it to me I am so taking it. I realized that the people who have been at stream for a long time simply mute the customers and then put themselves in timeout personal and go have a smoke. In three days i handle over 200 calls and Im sure they didnt handle that many. Do i really want to work at a place that says take the abuse and help the customer? I have called business that i have been upset with but have never scream, threatened or swore at someone. God help us if that is what the world is coming to

Wow sorry to hear that Elaine. It is sad that people who have these problems cannot be more civilized. I see a disturbing trend that seems to grow each year. People seem to just not care about anyhting but what they want and they dont care if they inconvenience others. I notice it every day when I drive around making my deliveries in peoples driving skills? What happened to courtesy and common sense on the road and in life. In as much as things make me angry like trying to get info from the government I do not hold someone who answers a phone responsible for the problem. Most are just people trying to make a living. The company should be providing help and if they are not then I know that is a company I would leave as well. Hope your interview goes well and you find your way out of there.

oh boy Elaine I am so sorry to hear that (BTW that was the bad I heard , with alot of people take abuse like t hat) funny I just told hubby that this world has gone mad....everybody is in a hurry, parents want the community to babysit their kids and everyone is suing everyone. everyone is just so sensitive with all of the human rights and whatnot.............where is the love? I really noticed it when I was in Toronto, everyone is out for themselves, it's almost sad to see.

Hi Darrell,
Our vacation to Toronto was really fun, expensive but fun! I think the CN tower was the best part. I remember Wayne(my 14 year old son) doing a project on it in grade 3 out in Winnipeg and has talked about it ever since so he was really happy. The weather that day was GREAT but the crowd was out in full force. The aid conference was on so we were smack dab in the middle of that. The Hockey hall of fame was nice to see too but really wasn't what I expected......kids loved it though.
All in all it was good but I have to say I must be spoiled in the small town b/c Toronto is not a place I would say I love ;D

I love small towns but love big cities too. Small towns give you safety and the big cities are great for shopping and getting deals

You're right elaine. That is what I love about being here.........a drive away from North Bay, not far from Ottawa. We have the best of both worlds.

I have no idea why this wont let me log on. We got a new computer with Windows XP home and it wont let me log in under Penneme or under the new one I made ElaineP...so I am posting as a guest lol.... Update? Okay here goes .. I went back to Stream and worked 4 days to find out I was terminated and had been for that four days... Nice people eh? So I left and today had a interview at Tim Hortons ( not one of the ones owned by my former franchisee) and got hired, then I came home and Stream called and asked me why I left and told them about the termination letter I had seen. She told me I was better than most of the staff that had been there for years and If she could straighten this mess all out would I come back. So now I have two job offers. Seems Im in demand lmao. So I will update you all again later on.

I was wondering if that was you or another one.
I guess your question is how bad you want to go back to Stream and how much do you want to work for Timmys. hmmmmmmm let me know if Timmy's works out and I will stop by and say hi next time I am in town ;D
