Tim I agree.....every morning I got up to see Janice at the end of my driveway and we'd walk to the bus together. Kind of hits home evey now and then when I see someone driving and wanting to drink.....hits a real personal note.

Yes Greg I was briefly dating her. I was in the car with her when it happened. Not the driver though. Could have been. Luck of the draw i think i was not the driver. I think back now and again about that night. Wishing I could get it back.
I guess i should have said " we will never forget her" Was thinking about myself and not other friends that have know and loved her. I apologize for that.

The last page of Encore 1978 was dedicated to two students who died tragically in the course of that year which I think should be added.
Tammy Johnston died Feb 14 of a car accident Nancy Montrose lost her life in a plane crash Feb 11
The caption at the bottom of the page read
Their untimely deaths left a gap in the lives of their fellow students and the teachers of this school.

Nancy Montrose died in a plane crash in Cranbrook B.C. She had gone on a skiing trip given to her by her parents. She was a real sweetheart.

I knew Paul, and was one of his better friends the last two years of high school. He was a great all round athlete, soccer, football, basketball, badminton, even 200m in track, Paul could do it all, (he new all the card games too!). Paul will be sadly missed, my thoughts got out to his immediate family and friends. What a tragedy.

Ray, sorry to hear about Paul, my condolences to you and your family. Altough he was older, I remember playing basketball and slo-pitch with Paul. He was always a fun guy and a great sportsman.
