ITA! As long as they are over there, there are more to come.....they haven't asked hubby to go yet but if they do I am not sure he can say no. IT's the mantality of the military......  Funny thing is, is that when he heard of the soldier yesterday he was on his way to Pembroke where the medic was being burried  in his final resting place.......... Anyway..... Don't you love these Divas out there? Another one is Paris Hilton. Why is she so newsworthy? I will never know except she has more money then I will see in a lifetime. Just reading about Tye and his Divorce is giving me more respect for him then ever.......thought he was a bully on hockey team ;D His first thing is to make sure his kids are happy and that is the way it should be. I think she is doing what she is doing, trying to get sympathy out of all of it. Most of the time except for reading the paper, I don't even pay attention to it. 25 bucks an hour? Heck I want that job!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL! That sure lucked out for you didn't it. Good things come to those that wait I guess. Our Thanksgiving is going to be quiet. Hubby is on long days this week so he won't be wanting to go too far........ I think we have to head into Ottawa for the day on Sat but that is about it besides cooking a turkey on Sun or Monday. |

WoHooooooooooooooooo..Hockey starts Wednesday nite on TSN... Is it just me or does it seem like ages since they have played??.. I love hockey and try not to miss any games on the tube.
Anyone else a hockey nut?

I keep an eye on hockey but I am more of a play off type of person...........but then again being in the Ottawa Valley I ALWAYS know how the Senators are doing.
Now curling :if Randy Ferbey is playing you know I will be watching!!!

Wanda my favorite team in Colorado and they arent doing so hot, but I do like the Sens.
Update
Im done training at MCCI and hit the floor Monday working for T-Mobile. I love it there and you actually get training...lol...Met some really great people and some that well lets just say ummm I wouldnt want to meet them on the street when I am driving. But such is life.. We had a touch of snow yeaterday morning.. arg winter is upon us. Doing well with the diet...drinking lots of water and staying away from junk. My oldest son moved back home last weekend, he had issues with the ex in the apt they were living in..aka he was paying all the rent and she was paying nothing, so we got him out of the lease and left her there, guess she will have to pay for things now. He is back home for a few months to save for a apt with his work buddy, so I have a full house now. My peace and quiet is gone and I think I have a few more greay hairs to boot.

Hi Elaine and everyone, just checking in........hubby took me to Ottawa for the day for shopping. I have had a really sad week..............our 40th Cdn soldier was a friend of mine...........I won't get into too many more details here, but that is not what I wanted when they all left in Aug and on the eve where we just lost another 2, still no names mentioned. .......sigh..............everything you read about Mark was true. I told Hubby I am going to go have a beer "with him" after the memorial on Tues since he promised me one.......... My favorite hockey team is and always will be Toronto but I have to say I am liking Ottawa and Calgary lately....heck as long as that cup comes home I don't care who wins it!LOL! Hope everyone is doing good........why are there always guests in here but no posts  ;D  |

Hi Wanda. So sorry to hear about your friend. I think of you everytime a soldier is lost (which lately is far too often) wondering if you knew any of them.
On a brighter note, how was the shopping? Hope you went to Ikea.

Thanks Diane ........I cannot wait until our flag goes to full mast again  Hmmmmmm our trip into Ottawa, yep we went to Ikea. The place was a madhouse.......... Would you believe that is only the 2nd time that I have been there? I know I need a life or something!LOL! Of course I walked out of there with a few things this time, last time I just looked around and checked it out. |

Glad to see you're getting to Ikea. I like to go whenever I'm in Ottawa but I don't always buy alot.

Awwww Diane, thank you so much......I am doing much better thanks. It's still hard looking at his picture but that will just take some time......you would have liked Mark.........
The Memorial was really nice and I didn't have a beer afterwards but I did go for the reception.
I meant to ask you,how is your son doing in Ottawa? Is he liking it away from home?

Hi Wanda. Glad to hear you're doing OK. You'll have a beer for Mark when you know it's right and remember all the good memories you have of him.
There must be a lot of sadness and stress in Petawawa while the troops are away. When the troops return they will need lots of support and people watching out for them as I think many of them are going to suffer from post tramatic stress as you can only watch and carry your lost friends onto a plane so many times without thinking will the next time be me.
On a more happy note, Ryan is enjoying it at Ottawa U. He is enjoying it being away from home except that his girlfriend stayed here to go to Queen's so he's comes back often to see her.
Off to Gananoque as Carly has a bowling tournament today.

Thanks Diane, that is what I thought. Maybe in Feb when the other guys come back from "this" tour I will have one.........All I know is that Rememberance Day has a new meaning when you starting knowing the names......... Changing subject It's snowing here today......It's too darn early for snow! And since this is what is on your mind......watching hockey last night and watching Toronto lose in a SHOOTOUT .......what a stupid way to lose a hockey game!!!!!!! That is great Ryan is enjoying Ottawa U.......how is mom doing with that? ;D |
