I logged MANY hours at the office with Mr. Bell . . . I was there because I didn't go to class very much . . . I liked to sit on the bench and socialize. If socialization was a credit I would've had an A. Plus.

I had to visit Mrs. Janet E. Hay on a Monday morning after getting into a fight at a dance (with my boyfriends ex) who was from another school. Mrs. Hay was actually pretty good about it and became my buddy after that. She would always come and sit on the bench and chat it up with me. Good ol Mrs. Hay, wonder what she is up to these days............

There were two vice principals at one time at Bayside when Mr. Read was principal.. Mr. Dell was one and I cant remember the other ones name. I should remember it I spent enough time in his office in grade 9 for skipping. Anyone have any idea who it was. We are talking 1974-1975 school year

Hate to correct you penneme but Mr. Dell was never a VP. I believe you are confusing him with Mr. Daley (who is also black) who vice principal in this time frame with Mr. Gerry Boyce.

I stand corrected. But I dont think the vice principal I'm thinking of was Mr. Boyce, I would remember that name.

There was also Mr. John Melady as VP but I don't think he was until late 70's.

I stand corrected. But I dont think the vice principal I'm thinking of was Mr. Boyce, I would remember that name. There was another VP in the 70's was it a Mr Bell? We have started a list and some photos of P's and VP's in the faculty directory but we need help with filling in the gaps and photos. Any help is greatly appreciated ;D Cheers, SJ

Ah...I was in trouble quite a bit back in those days (for various reasons--mostly for telling off teachers)...I don't remember who the principal was, but I think it was Mr.Bell? ? I dunno. I'm a good girl now though! ;D

Hey Cheri, this is Cheri who also lived on the base but the other side right? I remember going to Cadets with you once. We used to always ride the bus together. I remember we would always fill each other in about our weekends. SO what are you up to these days? Did you join the military? Make sure you sign up on this board in the 90's and become a member, it is all free and a good way to keep in touch. Did you keep in contact with anyone from Bayside over the years? I am married with 2 boys and I live in Winnipeg, would love to hear about you. I have some pictures posted on the board, you should take a peek, see some familiar faces. Hope to hear from you soon. Trish
