Sarah - ugh! Had not thought when you had problems the previous night that you might have lost some of your webpage stuff. Thus, I jumped to the wrong assumption and thought we only had June to choose from. I'll change my vote once you've got the page up and running 100 per cent.
I've done some googling and have come up with some websites we can search for ideas, plus how to survive a high school reunion (Elaine - don't let the thoughts you were not liked back in school keep you from coming back in the future). We all had our distractors or those bullies who caused us grief.
It's all about memories and reconnecting with those who are from our past. Of course we've moved on with our lives...just ask your own siblings about how you've changed from the childhood to adulthood. Your siblings know you the best.
Can't judge a book by the cover. I've got the gift of gab (was a woman in a previous life, according to my late father). I know I lost my voice after the first night of the 20th reunion - meet and greet.
Don't worry...there are guys who'll show up minus hair, or with a little more weight than when we were at BSS. That's life...that's middle age for us older baby boomers in our late 40s. I still have sexy legs, thanks to my skating in hockey as an official and doing soccer officiating. But I don't have the thick squirrel's nest on my head as I did back when I was 17, 18...more facial hair, too, but the grey is starting to dominate.
I'll just be me at the reunion....and have fun, swapping stories. It's not about money, status or how many kids we've got. I can imagine a lot of our peers are separate or divorced. Or perhaps still bachelors (single).
Still, it will be fun just the same. The past is there, but our future is ahead. And we reflect on both.
Just my rant on a rainy, Thursday afternoon during a break from editing and fixing photos for Monday's paper.
